DST 3.1 article standard ready for testing in the acceptance environment

In early 2025, the DST expert group convened to determine the content of the next release. The agreed improvements and extensions have now been completed, and the DST 3.1 article standard is now available in the acceptance environment for testing and validation.

The main changes in version 3.1 are:

  • Fix for multi-country/duplicate country entries (e.g., NL,BE/nl → NL/nl and BE/nl, and vice versa);
  • Attributes endpoints made available for suppliers and users;
  • Extension of the battery container with EAN and article number, plus extensions for chargers and displays;
  • Addition of missing bicycle components from the DST 3.0 standard;
  • New fields added: embargo date, generation, and barcodes;
  • Profile parameter added to the product endpoints;

Suppliers have been informed of these changes and are currently adapting their systems to ensure these new fields will also be used.

The article with EAN 4661081545925 is currently available for testing in the acceptance environment. The changes in version 3.1 consist exclusively of additions to the standard. This means that existing data fields remain unchanged. The largest extension concerns the fields for batteries and chargers.

Suppliers can now also include additional information about any surcharges and associated order numbers, giving users better insight into available options and variants. In addition, the new embargo date field indicates whether a product is temporarily under embargo and therefore may not (yet) be visible on the retailer's website.

Update: version 3.1 is now available for all partners and suppliers.
