- Reliability: because the data always comes directly from your source system, the risk of errors or delays is minimal.
For suppliers with their own PIM or ERP system, the API therefore offers a future-proof solution. It does require a one-time technical implementation, but subsequently delivers maximum efficiency and current data exchange.
2. Supplying data via SFTP with a CSV file
Not every supplier has the possibility to realize an API link. Therefore, DST also offers an SFTP solution:
- File format: you supply a CSV file that fully complies with the DST standard. This guarantees that all product and transaction data can be processed in a unified and correct manner.
- Secure transfer: files are sent securely via the SFTP protocol (Secure File Transfer Protocol).
- Periodic updates: you decide how often you supply a new file, for example daily or weekly.
This method is particularly suitable for suppliers who cannot or do not yet wish to create an automated API link, but do want to work according to the DST standard.
